If you are not sure which way to go, the rule of thumb is this: the heavier the food, the fuller the wine can be. With pasta and pizza something fruity and light works; with stew or aged cheese you want a bottle with more body.

Red wine pours best a little below room temperature, so put it somewhere cool if your home is warm. If the bottle arrived cold, let it stand a while: red wine only gives up its aroma once it comes up to temperature. Delivery is free over 50 euro, 24/7 day and night.
